Overview

HAVO Tirzepatide is presented as a pen for subcutaneous administration, with 60 mg in 3 ml according to the supplied packaging.

Mechanism & scientific context

Tirzepatide activates GIP and GLP-1 receptors, supporting glucose-dependent insulin secretion and influencing appetite.

Indications & evidence

Authorised tirzepatide medicines have indications for type 2 diabetes and weight management in specified populations. These authorisations do not validate the HAVO formulation.

Presentation & box contents

Pen presentation with a declared volume of 3 ml. The amount shown is the total content, not a dose per injection. Needle compatibility, dose settings and included accessories must be checked against the instructions supplied with the product.

Contraindications

The US Mounjaro label contraindicates use with personal or family medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2, or serious hypersensitivity to tirzepatide or excipients. These are reference-medicine restrictions, not a validated HAVO leaflet.

Precautions

Review pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, severe gastrointestinal disease, dehydration, retinopathy and hypoglycaemia risk with insulin or sulfonylureas. Discuss pregnancy, oral medicines and planned anaesthesia with the clinician. Nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea can occur. Seek urgent care for severe persistent abdominal pain or allergic symptoms.
